2021 Woody Island Tribal Council Election

At the 2021 Annual Meeting on September 25, 2021, the results of the 2021 Woody Island Tribal Council Election were announced. Incumbent Tribal Council Members Alex Cleghorn, Chrislyn Hoen, Margaret Roberts, and Germaine Salmine were re-elected to the Tribal Council for additional terms. The Officers of the Woody Island Tribal Council for the coming year are President Alex Cleghorn, Vice-President Gwen Sargent, and Secretary/Treasurer Chrislyn Hoen. Second Round of Emergency Coronavirus Relief for Tribal Households

At the October 25, 2021 meeting of the Woody Island Tribal Council, the Council authorized an additional round of Emergency Coronavirus Relief for Tribal households. Tribal citizens who have experienced financial hardships associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, including those who received assistance earlier in 2021 or 2020 but have remaining unmet needs, are encouraged to return applications by November 30 in order to be considered for assistance.
