Tribal Library Collection

The Woody Island Tribal Library has a collection of over 600 books comprising subjects including:

  • Tribal Law Guides & References
  • Native Rights Reference Material
  • Alaska Cookbooks
  • Nature Identification Guides
  • Alaskan-themed Children’s Books

The Woody Island Tribal Library is located within the Kodiak Area Native Association’s facility at 323 Carolyn Street, Kodiak, Alaska.

​Tribal Members are welcome to browse the collection in person by checking in with the front desk for room availability, or by calling ahead to the Tribal Administrator at (907) 486-9872.

  1. To get started, navigate to: www.librarycat.org/lib/Tangirnaq
  2. Search for material in the catalog by author, title, or keyword.
  3. Click the green Check Out button next to the item.
  4. Enter your Patron ID when prompted. A Patron ID and Library Card can be obtained by calling the Tribal Administrator, or by writing to info@woodyisland.com
  5. View your Patron Account by clicking the Patron icon in the upper right corner of the home screen.
